OUR STORY
THE GOOD STUFF
Like most couples in this day and age we have some sort of social media to thank for our relationship. Brandon was just getting out of boot camp and going on a “Facebook purge” as he would say, but for some reason he decided to message me (Danielle) instead of just deleting me. Soon, Facebook messages turned to text, text turned into Skype calls, we talked day after day after day until one day we didn't and eventually we both entered relationships ( with other people). Fast forward a year later, and those Facebook messages started back up, then the text.. And then one amazing day we finally planned to meet. Shortly after our “first official meeting” we began dating. Still, with a distance between us, but we made it work. Brandon would soon graduate from Nuclear Power School in Charleston and would be moving to Washington, with being only 6 months into our relationship and always being a “distance couple” we figured 3,000 miles couldn’t be that much worse. Shortly after arriving in Washington Brandon would endure a 5-month underway. After he got back we made the decision that we felt confidant enough in our relationship for me to move to Washington and join him. We fell more in love living in a new place together and experiencing new places. Brandon felt the day was right on May 17th, 2015 and after planning an amazing day which involved attending a baseball game (my favorite past time and did I mention my FAVORITE team, The Boston Red sox were in town?!) and a “true” Seattle Beach equipped with a fire and endless s’mores supplies, he finally got down on one knee with our closest friends around and proposed!! We immediately ate s’mores and celebrated!

THE ELOPEMENT
Anyone who has ever been married or engaged knows how hard, stressful, and time consuming a wedding is to plan. Also, you know how fast the day goes by. When we first got engaged all we could think about was how we wanted to have a huge wedding at an amazing venue in North Carolina, with our closest friends and family. We had both dreamed of this day for our entire lives. However, after a trip home to look at venues the subtle reality of wedding planning finally hit us. We soon decided that ultimately we wanted this day to be something we would remember forever, we didn’t want to be rushed on our wedding day, stressing about timelines, what to serve for dinner, or what song to play during our cake cutting ( those are seriously all issues on a wedding day…) and we made the decision to have our wedding day take place with just the two of us, somewhere that was special to us. We had an amazing group of vendors that the day would not of been complete without and we are lucky enough to have an amazing support group of family and friends who without each and every one of you this would not of been possible.
The video of our wedding day is below, and we would love for you to watch it so you can see every part of our day. Although you weren’t there physically you were all there in our hearts, we hope this video makes you feel like you were apart of our special day.
